e built ToYou.com as a way for you to keep track of the 1/2 price certificates you get from places like Groupon, Living Social, Sold.com and others but also create a market place for you to buy, sell, and trade these certificates.
My ToYou Center
My ToYou Center is where you can keep track of your 1/2 price certificates. From this page you can enter information about the certificates that you have. The information you enter are description of the certificate, the face amount of the certificate, the price paid for the certificate, the expiration date of the certificate, and how much time before the certificate expires in which you want to be notified.
When your certificate is about to expire, ToYou.com will send you an email to remind you that should use the certificate or sell it.
This page will also provide you with a list of the certificates that you have entered. You can sort the list by clicking on a corresponding column heading. So if you wish to see which certificates have a higher value first or if you want to know which certificates expire soon, just click on the appropriate heading.
Market Place
For Buyers
The Market Place lists certificates that are available for purchase or trade. The certificates are listed in location order. If you find a certificate that you are interested in, click on the "Buy" button. You must be logged on to proceed, if you are not logged on, the logon screen will appear.
If you are logged on, more details of the certificate will be displayed. From here you can send a message to the seller that you are interested in buying the certificate or to make a different offer. The message will be sent to the seller but will not include your email address unless you check the email box on the certificate detail screen. You can then continue to communicate using ToYou.com by viewing your messages in the My Nessages section or you can email each other directly.
If the buyer and seller agree on terms for the sale, it is up to the parties to figure out how to make payment. ToYou.com will not be involved in the transfer of payment nor take a fee in the transaction. We suggest that the parties involve use a payment service like Paypal.
For Sellers
In order to sell your 1/2 off certificates, just click on the "Sell" button for that certificate listed on the My ToYouCenter page. Then enter the price that you wish to sell the certificate for and click on the submit button. Your certificate will then be posted in the Market Place. When someone becomes interested in your certificate, the system will generate an e-mail to you and also post the message in My Messages. From here you can reply back to the potential buyer by clicking on the Reply button or if they sent you their email address, by using your own email program.
