The 1915 pennant race was one of the closest in history. The Chicago Whales won the league title by 1/10th of a percentage point over the St. Louis Terriers and 1/2 game over the Pittsburgh Rebels. The Whales won despite playing 2 games less than St. Louis and 1 less than Pittsburgh. The rules at the time did not call for Chicago to make up the games missed.
