The Indianapolis entry in the Federal League did not have an official nickname. The team was often referred to as the Hoosiers, Hoosierfeds, Hoofeds, or Indians.

Indianapolis played their home games at West Washington Street Park. It was also known as Hoosier Park, Greenlawn Park and Federal League Park.

Despite the teams success on the ballfield, it did not translate well at the box office. The team was relocated to Newark, New Jersey for the 1915 season.
